The Testaments by Margaret Atwood is the long-awaited sequel to Atwood’s feminist bible The Handmaid’s Tale, that takes readers back to the horrors of Gilead. To mark its launch, we teamed up with Vintage Books on a haunting stunt, recruiting eight handmaids to walk through the city of London to capture the attention of people on the street. Their journey ended at Waterstones Piccadilly which hosted Margaret Atwood for the midnight release of her new novel, as part of an expansive one-night festival.
