Pop-up bookstore residencies
To attract the attention of bookworms, we have worked with Penguin Random House on a number of pop-up events in bookstores across London:
HARPER LEE: GO SET A WATCHMEN
We set up a scene from Harper Lee’s, Go Set A Watchmen in Waterstones Piccadilly. We had a lot of fun, secretly acquiring an array of weird and wonderful vintage props, to transform a section of the bookstore, into Atticus Finch’s living room. Visitors are invited to sit back on the rocking chair, immerse themselves into the scene and listen to the Go Set A Watchman audio book, Atticus Finch style.
TRAVEL #BYBOOK
Penguin Random House celebrated holiday reading with their Travel #ByBook campaign, designed to take readers to new places. It championed books as the perfect travel companion – focused on 22 titles. To promote the campaign in a super fun way, we set up a playful holiday scene at Waterstones Trafalgar Square, which included gigantic books and comfy deck chairs. This was manned by a couple of friendly safari guides who were tasked with handing out samples featuring extracts from the key summer titles.
